Import Export License Registration

An Import Export License refers to the Import Export Code (IEC), a unique code issued by the Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT). This code is essential for businesses engaged in international trade, facilitating customs clearance, shipment processing, and foreign bank transactions without the need for return filings.

The IEC plays a pivotal role in maximizing business profitability by enabling global trade opportunities. Commonly traded goods under this license include mineral fuels, electronic equipment, machinery, iron and steel, plastics, organic chemicals, gems, precious metals, cotton, glass, dairy products, natural rubber, food items, garments, sugar, tea, tobacco, and spices. Obtaining an import-export license is a mandatory requirement for engaging in international trade.
